limerence

falling adream
place never seen
dreaming heart
raptured splendor
taken and received
moment's fascination
hope all powerful
high place of golden
flowered fields
smelling of favor
never end
never end

i pine

all wondering aside
i love her
she's a little pagan princess, barefoot in a forest glade
whispering secret spells to lark and robin
bid them stay and charm her with their songs

her care for me is a depth beyond knowing
knowing always how much
and what kind
embraced, i know only nirvana
as the hours pass too soon

our secrets our treasures
kept always in hearts so filled
a sacred trust forever held inviolate
fire undying
we're warmed by its glow

wellokaythen

It seems my love has proven me wrong about my claimed inability to write something positive. She moves me in mysterious ways indeed.

in field of riot embraced by the wind
on shore of gold blinded by the sun
we'll be there
in a cottage wrapped in snow new fallen
on a mountain knowing all that is ancient
we'll be there
in hearts forever joined by hope
with eyes that gleam with joy immeasurable
already there

I hope it works

Once upon a time I wrote a little poetry. Some folks thought that some of it was pretty good. Occasionally I thought the same. It's been a long time since I've written any. A lot of it was inspired by the darkness I used to live in, so that's probably a big reason why.

This blog is an attempt to motivate me to start writing again - I hope it works. I miss writing. I don't miss the dark inspiration. I have to find something new to inspire me. There's plenty that's right with my life these days but writing about the positive is not something I have a lot of experience with.

Be patient with me.

Saturday Afternoon

Kill Bill 2 is on the tube, the laundry is done and I've made my grocery list. The sky is overcast, maybe we'll get some rain.

I miss my baby so bad it hurts. Curse the real estate gods who are keeping us apart.

we have but a little time
in a little place
to waste either is a crime most foul
